How to pull off “Utility Deluxe”

Salute military styling. Utility and camo are the new season uniform you need, so you can go into combat looking fashion forward. However, we do not have to take it back to Destiny’s Child’s Survivor video!

Here are some tips to help you pull off this badass trend.

Oversized v-neck t-shirt by H&M € 9,99 | Wrapped skirt by Zara € 39,95 | Charcoal heels via Zalando € 69,95

1. Head-to-toe khaki is optional

This trend tends to veer towards khaki – I love it – but also, try to mix it up with clean nudes or navy, black and grey.

2. Mix up textures and fabrics

It’s all about teamwork! Mix up silks with heavy cottons and leather with soft wools or chunky knitwear. Add biker boots to a silk slip dress or wear your favorite killer heels with that tomboy camo pants.

D-ring playsuit by Topshop € 68,00 | Artdeco lipstick # 352 via Douglas € 14,95 | Leather gladiator sandals by Zara € 99,95 | PU leather bucket clutch by Forever21 € 19,50

3. Investigate your local army shop for the real deal

With a trend this big, all of our favorite retailers such as Zara, Topshop and H&M are full of military-inspired items. But let’s be honest; there’s nothing like the real deal.

An army shop is a great option to find the real authentic bomberjackets and parkas in navy, green or black. I’m pretty sure you’ll find nice sweaters, jumpers and hats at vintage markets as well. Oh, and let’s not forget about thrift shops!

Padded bomberjacket by H&M € 39,99 | Bodycon dress by H&M € 29,99 | Cut-out boots by Nasty Gal € 167,63 | Studded crossbody bag by Forever21 € 21,00

I found the perfect green/mint colored bomber at a vintage market – what’s your favorite army find?
